Some advice for eczema sufferers




Try to use warm water, don't have it too hot.

Bath/Shower quickly if you can.

Use acid based soaps, oat based soaps, bath oils, perfume free

Dry with a clean towel. do not rub instead use a gentle patting action.

Use and abuse of fatty creams: fragrance free.

Avoid lotions that contain or are alcohol based

Choose quality products: avoid preservatives, fragrances and other irritating substances.



Soft detergents. Remove all residues, Do not use bleach and fabric softeners.

Avoid contact with wool and synthetic fibers

Avoid tight-fitting clothes and try to not wear too much clothing as sweating can aggravate the condition.



Do not scratch or rub. Scratching with fingernails causes small sores that can become infected. To avoid this, try and keep nails short and clean. Sometimes itching happens during the night, you may scratch while asleep without noticing so it may be necessary to use gloves when sleeping.

Avoid extreme temperature and humidity environments

Avoid contact with all allergenic substances.

Try to relax. Stress is bad for eczema.

Take care of your skin every day.


Follow your doctor’s instructions.

Visit the doctor especially when:

Your skin condition gets worse and itching increases;

Your skin is infected: redness, hot skin, fever.
